Jewelry with a story...
Fairy Garden Earrings
As a little girl, my mother and I would build fairy houses out of twigs and flowers, furnishing the insides with miniature tables, teacups, and berry cakes. Since childhood, magic has been an integral part of my life through the books my parents read to me, the Tooth Fairy writing me twenty-seven answers to my many questions, and the fairy reader I met on a trip to New Orleans who was "proof" to my seven-year-old self that fairies were real.

These earrings look as if you could pick them from a rose bush in an enchanted fairy garden, hence the name "Fairy Garden Earrings". This piece honors the magical creations that can come to life when you give yourself freedom to explore your mind and allow your creative side to take the reins.
The idea for theses earrings came to me in a sketch from over a year ago, but it wasn't until I created them, that I realized I had drawn these exact earrings in a sort of "vision board" for what I wanted my future Radiant Jewels pieces to look like. (See this sketch on my Instagram, @radiantjewelsco). Rose quartz and gold vermeil are the materials in this piece, cresting the magic of childlike wonder into a single pair of earrings.
Pink Princess
My seventh birthday party was masquerade-themed between me and a couple of other girls. I would have for sure worn this necklace to live out my princess-at-a-masquerade-ball dreams as a child, and will most definitely be wearing this gorgeous piece now. I can't even imagine the excitement I would have felt, under my green and gold masquerade mask, to see this piece in all its splendor.
Stories were an integral part of my childhood life, and I would ask every babysitter to tell me a story of a far-off land as I would fall asleep and enter those places in my dreams. I recall one story about a princess in a rose garden who had to complete all of these quests and retrieve various tokens, including a necklace of sorts. It's hard to say with any degree of certainty now, but had I known a necklace so fit for a princess had existed, I'm sure I would've envisioned her wearing this very piece. Now I invite you to be your very own princess, and bejewel yourself into a pink princess.
Hand-beaded and made by me, the pink opal and pink pearls, complete with a gold vermeil clasp, make this the ultimate "Pink Princess" necklace, hence the name. I can't think of a more perfect piece to bring out your inner child and carry that radiance with throughout your day-to-day life you no matter what age you are.
Golden Mermaidia
in Green Sapphires
One of my most prized possessions growing up was a mermaid necklace. I would play mermaids in the pool, or in other bodies of water, as one does, and this necklace gave me the boost I needed to feel connected to my imagination even further, but in a tangible way.
Jewelry is powerful. Jewelry is unique in its ability to make someone feel special through amulet heirlooms, lockets of loved ones, and gifts of the sort. Whether this feeling is through jewelry given as a token of friendship, sentimental pieces passed down in your family, or jewelry that makes you feel beautiful and more confident in yourself, jewelry has a magical way of truly making you feel something.

I created this gorgeous mermaid piece to inspire you to continue "playing mermaids", so to speak. To enable you to recognize the beauty of your soul and inner child, allowing yourself to create new experiences for yourself, and serve as a little reminder to your imagination, and to empower you, to express yourself artistically. This necklace serves as a token to give yourself permission to have fun with life, and to never "grow up" completely. Where's the fun - and dare I say magic - in that?

Golden Mermaidia
in Multicolored Sapphires
Some jewelry can bring out the fun and radiance within you through unique patterns and vibrant colors in one manifestation of jewelry's many positive effects. Like the more classic "Golden Mermaidia in Green Sapphires" piece, I wanted to create another mermaid necklace equally as whimsical. This piece, hand-beaded and made by me, has an ombre-effect through the deep blues and purples of these multicolored sapphires, interspersed with real freshwater irregular pearls, creating a delicate pattern.

This color palette reminds me of the mermaids that would swim around in my imagination as a child, with intricate tales fading into ombre-hued tones. I could create hundreds of variations of this piece if I wanted to, and soon enough there would be sunset mermaids, pink mermaids, sea foam mermaids, and pastel mermaids dancing around the Radiant Jewels webpage, singing to you with their siren songs to give them a home around your neck. The options would be overwhelming. Instead, I created two beautiful variations of the "Golden Mermaidia", and I hope they bring the magic to life for you as much as they do for me.
Grandma's Mulberry Basket
This piece was inspired by childhood pastimes. My mother and I would make jewelry together when I was younger. My grandma and I, along with other family, would bake pies or other treats at family gatherings. "Grandma's Mulberry Basket" is inspired in part by time spent with loved ones, along with a fairytale twist.
Ultimately, I made this piece with the intention of "nostalgia" at the forefront of its creation. Nostalgia to the Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood, as she travels through the forest to bring her grandmother a basket of goodies. An ode to the soft, and sweet memories from simpler times, when our deepest, most significant worries were who could bake the best pie. Recognition to the fleeting moments that can often fade with time, as our lives complicate themselves.
I find that there is often a moral of the story to learn from fairytales, part of what has drawn me to them, and there are also morals of the story to learn in the chapters of our lives. In this particular story, I take it that the grandmother symbolizes our goals in life, or our desires, per se, and we trek along utterly determined to get to them. However, sometimes what we think we want is disguised, and when you tear off the covers, you find that what you were seeking was not what you thought it was, after all. Nevertheless, this piece, made of magenta garnets and intertwined with pink pearls, represents life's many journeys, destinations, and the nostalgia that comes along with it as we grow up.
